Our Team

Raphael Roy Taylor
Founder and Creative Director
The arts are such a unique and fascinating sector, filled with an unparalleled ability to inspire. So many people are creating really innovative work across disciplines, and don’t have a vehicle to connect with audiences.
From a young age, I’ve always loved art- even before I could understand the themes that make works even more powerful. I founded the Institute to provide this new platform for amazing young and emerging visual artists, and to share their work with as wide an audience as possible with our exhibitions, events and articles.
-
Emily Cornish
Director of Events & Project Lead
As Director of Events and Project Lead, I aim to organise inspirational, accessible, memorable experiences that foster connection, growth, and creativity.
The Institute’s mission to uplift emerging artists aligns with my own passion for making history and archaeology accessible to all and preserving them for future generations.
Taking part in opportunities that help others learn and build skills is invaluable. I believe that my skills in previous and incoming roles, such as my transition from Tour Secretary to President of the Classics Society, will aid me in this exciting position with the Creatives Institute.
-
Ethan Farmer
Director of Strategy
It is with great delight that I am sharing my new position as Director of Strategy. Still retaining my role as Director of Theatre, I will work alongside the rest of the team to help achieve maximum success for the Creatives Institute, delivering amazing events to creatives all around. I will look to identify opportunities for the Creatives Institute and work to implement initiatives to bring growth to our project, reaching our future goals. With many exciting events upcoming, I will play a role in ensuring these run smoothly and efficiently, and I can’t wait to see members new and old there!

I’m really looking forward to taking on this role as Head of Sponsorships at the Creatives Institute. My aim is to build strong, long-term partnerships that not only support the Institute’s mission but also create real impact for our sponsors and community.
I’m excited to bring a strategic approach to sponsorships, focusing on innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth, while ensuring that every partnership delivers mutual value. This is a chance to combine creativity with strategy, and I’m eager to contribute to strengthening the Institute’s network and driving forward initiatives that leave a lasting mark.

I’m excited to join the Creatives Institute as Director of Media because I care about making creative work more visible and impactful.
Looking forward to building something fresh, collaborative and actually fun.

Bryn Baber- Day
Editor of Artworld. Magazine
I am Bryn, and I am one of the editors of the Artworld Magazine. As a History and Politics student, I am eager to hone my editorial skills through engaging with a diverse portfolio of articles from all areas of the arts. Alongside James, I look forward to collaborating with truly passionate people to make sure Artworld is as thought-provoking and culturally enriching as possible!
-
Elliot Andrew Fox
Director of Philosophy
It is an honour to serve as the Director of Philosophy at the Institute, where I am committed to fostering a sense of pride among philosophers and creatives alike in their intellectual and artistic endeavours.
For the philosopher, the arts are not merely subjects of theoretical inquiry, but essential vehicles for the dissemination of philosophical thought, capable of conveying ideas in ways that are both transcendent and poetically resonant.
-
Nathaniel Davies
Director of Visual Art
Fascinated by the artistic process, I have used my considerable skills to create a diverse range of works on canvas, taking particular inspiration from Caravaggio’s humanisation of religious themes. The modern conception of fine art has increasingly abandoned its focus on honing talent, replaced by more individualistic and less accessible work.
My work with the Institute is aimed at reversing this trend, shining a spotlight on the elements of the traditional we need to reembrace, all whilst making the art world a more accessible space for diverse art styles. Excited to embark on this journey together.
-
Maximus Kaius Leighton
Director of Finance
My incredible background in the world of student arts, spearheading the newly revitalized Warwick Student Arts Festival, now in its second year and my role as Treasurer for Warwick Tech Crew has, for me, reinforced the value of arts in university life, as well as the skills to ensure such ventures are sustainable into the future.
The Creatives Institute is so important in bringing these various elements of the arts together into a unified whole, and I’m excited to get on board and guide the Institute to incredible things in the time ahead!
-
Keira Doyle
Director of Historical Thought
I am passionate about the role of history in shaping our understanding of the present and the future. As a BA History and French student, I know how crucial historical knowledge is in improving critical thinking and interpretation skills that can be applied to modern professions.
As Director of Historical Thought, I aim to help humanities students connect with professions such as museum curation, publishing, and other careers based in the industry, and increase awareness regarding historical developments and differing critical opinions.
-
Charlotte Heald
Director of Outreach
I’m thrilled to bring my unique skillset to the challenging and complex role as Director of Outreach. My experiences as one of the City of Coventry’s youth ambassadors to its twin city, Dresden, impressed upon me the power of reconciliation and collaboration, only strengthened by my time as a Team Captain at the University of Warwick’s Women’s Hockey Club.
As I go into a year studying abroad in Heidelberg, I am enthusiastic to support the Institute in their mission of making arts opportunities more accessible, across continents.
-
William John Moores
Director of Literature
I am beyond proud to fulfil the complex and challenging position as Director of Literature. As a prolific writer, editor, and columnist for a nationally awarded newspaper, I will be sure to utilise this experience to secure greater literary opportunities for the Creatives Institute.
Cicero once said, 'a room without books is like a body without a soul', it is this idea that I plan to take with me in this role, as I breathe greater life into the already flourishing institute, all the while building a better tomorrow for upcoming creatives.
-
Siobhan Bryan
Director of Global Development
In my role, I hope to guide students in exploring innovative and emerging professions that are crucial for addressing global challenges.
My studies in Global Sustainable Development has provided me with the tools to help students navigate the rapidly evolving landscape where sustainability is integral to every sector of society worldwide. I'm excited to contribute to the Creatives Institute's mission, shaping the future by empowering the next generation of changemakers.
-
Isabelle Dimascio
Director of Sustainable Development
As a student of sustainability, I’m working to raise awareness, promoting environmental responsibility. I'm dedicated to enhancing sustainable practices across the sector, ensuring that we protect and preserve our planet for future generations.
Whether it's through policy development or community engagement, my aim is to create impactful changes that contribute to a better world.
This comes a crucial time, as the arts sector pivots toward greater sustainability and I am excited to ensure the Institute stays true to those values.
-
Otis Rappo
Director of the Classics
I've always seen Classics as more than just an academic subject, it's a lens for understanding power, language, and culture across time. It's sharp, relevant, and way more alive than people give it credit for.
I'm excited to be part of the Creatives Institute because it's about pushing boundaries and making space for people who think differently. For me, this role is about showing how ancient ideas can fuel modern thinking, not just in academia, but in creative industries, strategy, storytelling, and beyond.
-
James Watson
Editor of Artworld. Magazine
I am keen to bring a strong editorial sense to the Institute and assist in the strong vision of platforming both visual and written media for its audience. I have always held an enduring passion for writing and am looking forward to helping craft a sense of what strong writing on the arts can look like with the Artworld Magazine. In my final year at Warwick University, I am hoping the magazine will enable a greater sense of connection with the arts on campus and help people find their voice.
-
Cosmos Zero Aggodino
Director of Music
Cosmos Zero (yes, that's his real name) is a 22-year-old rapper, producer and songwriter.
Music has always been both a deeply personal language and a shared creative archive. Within exhibitions, it breathes life into spaces, inviting audiences to reflect on the ways sound shapes memory, identity, and collective experience.
Drawing on my experience in performance and curation, I am passionate about presenting music in exhibition contexts, highlighting its rich dialogue with history, culture, and imagination.
I just love music, man.
-
Lucy Crawford
Director of Music
Music has been the centre of my life since I was young, and as a Music Director for the Creatives Institute, I want to make music and live performances more accessible and thus appreciated. As an industry that can be extremely difficult to excel in as a performer, the joy in music can be lost. Within the Creatives Institute, I would like to accentuate the lift that music can have on those surrounded by it. As a musician myself, I understand it can be difficult to find a friendly crowd, hence I hope to bring musicians forward looking for a space to perform, finding them a crowd who will appreciate their craft. I’m so excited to be a part of the Institute and look forward to meeting and working with many musicians along the way.
-
James Swaby
Director of Music
I lead the music programme for the exhibition across two evenings. I’m going to use my knowledge of music at Warwick to build a group of musicians who can create a good atmosphere for the space and match the energy of the art.
I’m also going to handle all the logistics: sound checks, setups etc. The goal is to make sure the music complements the art and draws in a bigger audience, to help refuel their interest in art.
